Black Girls Code is on a mission to build pathways for girls of color to enter the fields of technology and computer science. Through hands-on workshops in coding, game development, robotics, and mobile app design, they empower girls aged 7 to 17 to imagine, create, and lead in spaces where they are often underrepresented. The organization is shaping a new generation of Black women in STEM by equipping them with both skills and confidence. https://www.wearebgc.org
The Hidden Genius Project trains and mentors Black male youth in technology creation, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Their intensive, multi-year program goes far beyond coding—it fosters critical thinking, personal development, and long-term community engagement. By investing deeply in young Black men, the organization is helping to close the opportunity gap and develop changemakers in the tech space and beyond.
My Brother’s Keeper Alliance (MBK Alliance)
Launched by President Obama, the MBK Alliance focuses on addressing persistent opportunity gaps faced by boys and young men of color. It supports communities across the U.S. in building safe, supportive, and empowering spaces through mentoring programs, violence prevention, educational support, and career readiness. The initiative is rooted in systemic change and measurable impact.
Girls for a Change empowers Black girls to be the change they want to see in their communities. The organization offers leadership programs, summer camps, creative arts initiatives, and entrepreneur labs to help girls explore their power and possibilities. It’s more than mentoring—it’s about giving Black girls the tools and the space to design solutions and lead from a place of authenticity.
No More Martyrs focuses on the mental health and emotional well-being of Black women and girls. Their programs center healing, mental wellness, and community support, particularly in spaces where access to culturally competent care is limited. They offer youth wellness events, therapy workshops, and safe spaces that affirm Black girls and help them thrive without needing to shrink or hide any part of themselves.
The National Urban League supports youth across the country through local affiliates offering college prep, job training, STEM enrichment, and leadership development. These programs address racial inequity in education and employment by creating direct opportunities for young people to build careers and succeed on their own terms. The Urban League has been a powerful force for racial justice and economic empowerment for over 100 years. https://nul.org
